Sol Country is an energy access platform that provides personalized solar recommendations, a legislation tracker, a savings calculator, a product marketplace, and an installer directory.
Sol Country is a platform and information service — we are not a solar installer, a financial advisor, a tax advisor, or a utility company. We do not install solar systems, provide electricity, or guarantee any specific energy savings.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Sol Country. By using the Platform, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Sol Country earns commissions when you purchase products or services through links on our platform. This is clearly disclosed on all product pages and in our Privacy Policy.
Our affiliate relationships do not influence our recommendations. We display the best option for your situation based on your address data and preferences — not based on which product earns us the highest commission.
Sol Country is not a party to any transaction you complete with a third-party merchant. Your purchase is governed by that merchant's own terms and conditions.
Sol Country uses multiple data sources including NREL, EIA, Google Solar API, OpenStates, DSIRE, and others to provide personalized recommendations. We believe our data is accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee it.
Solar savings estimates are projections based on historical weather data, current utility rates, and typical system performance. Actual savings will vary based on your specific conditions, utility rate changes, weather, system maintenance, and usage patterns.
Incentive program information is provided for educational purposes only. Program amounts, eligibility criteria, and availability change frequently. Always verify incentive information directly with the program administrator before making purchasing decisions.
Sol Country is not a tax advisor. Nothing on this Platform constitutes tax advice. Consult a qualified tax professional before claiming any energy incentive.
The installer directory lists solar installation businesses at Free, Featured, and Premier tiers.
Sol Country does not employ, endorse, or guarantee the work of any installer listed in the directory. We do not verify installer credentials beyond what installers self-report.
Any contract for installation work is between you and the installer directly. Sol Country is not a party to that contract and accepts no liability for installer performance, workmanship, warranties, or disputes.
We recommend obtaining multiple quotes, verifying licenses independently, and reviewing installer credentials before hiring any contractor.
If you register as an installer on Sol Country, you represent that:
You are authorized to operate a solar installation business in the states where you list your services.
All information you provide about your business, credentials, and certifications is accurate.
You will respond to leads delivered to you in good faith and in a timely manner.
You will not use lead information for any purpose other than contacting the customer about their solar installation inquiry.
Sol Country may suspend or terminate installer accounts for misuse of lead data, false information, repeated failure to respond to leads, or customer complaints.
Installer subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard. Refunds are not provided for partial months.
You agree not to:
Use Sol Country for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Scrape, copy, or reproduce Sol Country's content, data, or platform without written permission.
Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading information through any Sol Country form or quiz.
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with Sol Country.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its underlying systems.
Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers.
Use Sol Country to spam, harass, or contact other users.
All content on Sol Country including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software is the property of Sol Country LLC or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view and use Sol Country for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Sol Country content without our written permission.
Sol Country's name, logo, and "Own your power." tagline are trademarks of Sol Country LLC.
Data provided through third-party APIs (DSIRE, NREL, EIA, OpenStates, etc.) remains the property of those respective organizations. Attribution is provided on our platform as required.
Sol Country is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Results obtained from using the Platform will be accurate or reliable.
Any errors in the Platform will be corrected.
Solar savings estimates are projections, not guarantees. Actual savings depend on many factors outside Sol Country's control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sol Country LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
Sol Country's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Sol Country in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sol Country LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Sol Country links to and integrates with third-party services including affiliate merchant sites, government data APIs, and other resources. Sol Country is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party services.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Sol Country shall be resolved first through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Denver, Colorado under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.
You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit against Sol Country.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email.
Your continued use of Sol Country after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Sol Country may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
You may stop using Sol Country at any time. If you have an installer account, you may close it through your dashboard.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy at solcountry.com/privacy-policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sol Country regarding your use of the Platform. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
