1. Acceptance of Terms

By using solcountry.com or any Sol Country service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use Sol Country.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and Sol Pro subscribers. For Sol Pro subscribers, additional terms in Section 8 apply.

Sol Country LLC reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of solcountry.com after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. What Sol Country Is and Is Not

Sol Country is an educational energy savings information platform. We help visitors understand energy savings options available at their address by aggregating publicly available data from government and utility sources.

Sol Country is not:

Program status accuracy

Sol Country makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information about the status of energy rebate programs, legislation, and incentives. However, programs open, close, and change frequently. Sol Country cannot guarantee that any program shown as "active" is currently accepting applications or that any dollar amounts shown are current. Always verify program status directly with the relevant state energy office, utility, or program administrator before making any financial decision.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on solcountry.com — including written guides, tools, calculators, the legislation tracker, the heat pump program database, page designs, graphics, and the Sol Country name and logo — is the property of Sol Country LLC and is protected by United States copyright law.

4. Affiliate Relationships and Advertising

Sol Country participates in affiliate marketing programs. When you click certain links on Sol Country and make a purchase or sign up for a service, Sol Country may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence Sol Country's editorial recommendations. Sol Country recommends products and services based on their merits for the visitor's situation — not based on commission rates.

All material affiliate relationships are disclosed on the relevant pages where affiliate links appear, in compliance with FTC guidelines.

Sol Country does not accept paid placement or sponsored content in its editorial recommendations. Installer directory listings are offered at Sol Country's discretion and are not paid advertising.

Energy savings estimates

Savings estimates provided by Sol Country's tools and calculators are based on publicly available data including EIA utility rates, NLR solar potential data, and published program amounts. These estimates are approximations only. Actual savings will depend on your specific utility rate, energy usage, equipment performance, weather, and many other factors outside Sol Country's control. Sol Country does not guarantee any specific level of savings.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SOL COUNTRY LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:

7. Links to Third Parties

Sol Country contains links to third-party websites including affiliate partners, government agencies, utilities, and program administrators. These links are provided for convenience only.

Sol Country does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party website. Your use of third-party websites is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Clicking an affiliate link on Sol Country may result in Sol Country receiving a commission. This is disclosed on all pages where affiliate links appear.

8. Sol Pro Subscription Terms

Sol Pro is a subscription service at $9.00 per month with a 7-day free trial.

Free trial

Your free trial begins when you complete checkout. You will not be charged during the 7-day trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged $9.00 and your subscription will begin.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly to the payment method on file. Billing is processed by Stripe. Sol Country does not store your full payment card details.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Sol Pro subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until the end of the period you have paid for. Sol Country does not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.

Changes to pricing

Sol Country reserves the right to change Pro subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase to existing subscribers via email.

Termination by Sol Country

Sol Country reserves the right to terminate or suspend a Pro subscription for violation of these Terms of Use, with or without notice.

Pro features

Sol Pro features are provided as described at solcountry.com/pro. Sol Country reserves the right to modify, add, or remove Pro features at any time. Material reductions in Pro features will be communicated to subscribers via email.

9. Installer Directory

Sol Country's installer directory lists electricians, solar installers, and other contractors for informational purposes only.

Sol Country does not:

Sol Country is not a party to any agreement between you and any installer. Any disputes regarding installer work are between you and the installer directly.

Always verify an installer's license status with your state's licensing board before hiring.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
