Xcel Energy has filed for a 9.9% residential electricity rate increase effective August 2026. A balcony solar kit installed before August locks in your savings at today's lower rate.
Colorado's balcony solar law also takes effect January 1, 2027 — you can install before the rate increase and before the legal deadline.
