GOOD TO KNOW
Home charging saves the most
Charging at home overnight on off-peak rates costs 50-70% less than public DC fast charging. The calculator assumes home charging by default.
Federal EV credit update
The $7,500 federal EV purchase credit ended September 30, 2025. What's available in 2026: a $10,000 annual loan interest deduction on US-assembled vehicles (through 2028), and the EV charger installation credit at 30% up to $1,000 (expires June 30, 2026). State and utility incentives still vary.
Colorado EV incentives
Colorado offers a $5,000 state tax credit for EVs purchased or leased. The federal $7,500 purchase credit ended September 30, 2025, but Colorado's state credit remains available.
