How it works · Balcony Solar

Sun in. Power out.
That's it.

Balcony solar is the simplest residential solar there is. No roof, no electrician, no months-long permitting.

Four steps

From box to
producing power.

Step 01

Unbox

Your kit arrives in a single box. Panel, microinverter, mount, and cable — pre-configured.

Step 02

Mount

Tool-free railing brackets clamp to most balcony rails. No drilling, no permits for typical installs in Colorado.

Step 03

Plug in

Connect the included cable to any standard 120V outlet. The microinverter syncs to your home grid automatically.

Step 04

Produce

Power flows behind your meter, offsetting your daytime use. Track production from the optional smart hub.

Honest notes

What balcony solar is —
and isn't.

It's not a replacement for rooftop solar.

A 400–1,200W kit will offset a meaningful portion of daytime use, not zero out your bill. Think of it as your first kilowatt of solar.

Always check your local rules.

Even where plug-in is permitted, HOAs and landlords may have their own opinions. Check your state →

Sun matters more than wattage.

A south-facing balcony with no shade beats a 1,200W kit in the shadow of a building.

Renters are welcome.

Our mounts are designed to be removable and to leave no marks. Take your panels with you.
